The Road to Success

"I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 game. Twenty-six times I've even been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed." -Michael Jordan

The concept of failure in most minds of teenagers is so powerful. Everyone is scarred to fail, but there is reason to be. Failure can be humiliating, consequences could follow and, it messes with your mentality. These are only a few reasons why failure is so powerful. Who wants to feel embarrassment or be punished or have there heads bogged? With these things being said you should be open to failure because it will not kill you, and what does not kill you makes you stronger. You have to fail to succeed. Failure is only a part of success. Even Legends fail.

  1. Even though you feel that failure should be embraced because it betters the person in a sense, wouldn't the sight of failure's consequences create some form of fear if seen from the outside view?

    1. When you say "the outside view", do you mean another person looking in?
