I think what Mr. Jefferson was saying is that style changes. People may change, phones may change, cars may change, but you should not. Just because everyone else may be doing something does not mean you have to. If the current is swimming with something that you do not believe in, then you should stop swimming and get out. Stand on what you believe in.
This a concept that people lack understanding upon. Doing what everyone is doing, is the thing that everyone feels like doing. If a choir rocks left to right and someone rocks right to left , i bet they go with the crowd. Dare to be different . (:
